Elegant modern executive desk designed and manufactured by Peter Løvig Nielsen in Denmark circa 1970s. This stunning freestanding teak wood desk features sturdy construction with three drawers on each side and a fully finished open back with a bookshelf for additional storage and display options. The drawers have sculpted handles to open smoothly and reveal the exquisite dovetailed detail on the construction and ample storage space. Both top drawers can be locked with a new custom made brass skeleton key keeping all essential documents safe. The top appears to float atop the drawers creating a lightweight and clean aesthetic. Features a raised lip edge showcasing the strong design elements and impeccable craftsmanship of Danish Modern design. This desk is in excellent condition as it has been refinished by our expert craftsmen team, making sure all structural elements remain faithful to the original design. A new brass skeleton key included.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
