Pair of lounge chairs designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Daverkosen in Denmark in 1953. This pair of iconic model FD-146 chairs feature a walnut-stained beechwood frame with new high-density foam and cushion tweed upholstery. These lounge chairs were crafted using a few studio techniques: laminated bentwood curvilinear arms and beautifully joinery, showcasing excellent craftsmanship from the designers. The backrest curves for optimum lumbar support and the new springs provide a comfortable seating experience. A delightful and simple design that perfectly illustrates the elegance and sophistication of Danish Modern design. Both chairs have been fully restored by our expert team, adding many more years of use.
