Elegant pair of modern night-stands designed and manufactured by West Michigan Furniture Co. in the United States circa 1950s. These lovely night stands feature a sturdy finished walnut wood standing on slim stiletto legs, adding a modern look to this stylish design. Both night-stands have a single drawer with a sculpted bow tie recessed pull with beige and yellow lacquered finish in the style of Arne Vodder, offering ample space ideal to keep bedside essentials. The warm colors mix beautifully with the grain detail, adding a modern and organic aesthetic to this sleek design. Our craftsmen have expertly refinished both nightstands for optimal usage and alternative storage options creating a unique dynamic showcasing remarkable craftsmanship while keeping a clean design.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
