Elegant modern floor lamp designed and manufactured by Laurel Lamp Co. in the United States circa 1960s. This minimalist, sleek design features a tall walnut wood body with a new circular travertine table surface held by a weighted base that gives style and stability to the composition of this floor lamp. The lamp shows a beautiful grain detail throughout the frame that gorgeously complements the light hues on the travertine top, creating a clean, modern aesthetic. Our expert craftsmen have recently refinished this lamp with new brass hardware, wiring, and new custom linen shade for perfect functionality. The flexibility of this design makes it the ideal addition to a cozy and versatile spot providing space and warm lighting for a relaxing environment.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
