Stylish modern credenza by iconic Danish designer Johannes Andersen for Georg Pedersens in Denmark circa 1950s. This skillfully crafted credenza features a sturdy teak case with a stunning high polished, glossy finish in ivory white and teal blue on the sliding doors, creating an elegant contrast with the warm teak grain. This credenza is comprised of two shelved compartments and four drawers on the right side, all with integrated sculpted love handles, creating an organic aesthetic while bringing a mix of bold colors to create a timeless look. Its superior quality and remarkable craftsmanship showcase Danish Modern furniture design at its finest, adding a uniquely modern statement to any room. Our expert craftsmen have professionally refinished this classic Danish Modern credenza, keeping the manufacturer’s label on the back.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
