Minimalist credenza designed by Ib-Kofod Larsen in collaboration with the workshop of Faarup Møbelfabrik in Denmark circa 1950s. Impeccably crafted in teak wood, this beautiful credenza shows an intricate wood grain throughout and features smoothly functioning swing doors that open with its unique sculptural door handles to reveal adjustable shelves and dovetailed pull-out trays. The case sits on a unique sculpted leg base that complements its sculpted door pulls above, showcasing superb craftsmanship and a unique style Larsen was known for. Our credenza has been meticulously refinished by our expert artisans keeping all the original design and historical details intact for a perfect blend of Danish Modern style and functionality for the years to come. Signed on its finished backside with its original Danish maker's label.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
