Beautiful dining set consisting of six teak chairs and a butterfly leaf table designed by Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan in England circa 1960’s. All six chairs are in excellent restored condition featuring their original solid teak wood frame with curved back supports. The chairs are newly upholstered with new high-density foam interior and an elegant light grey tweed fabric. The dining table is fully restored and features a butterfly leaf extension that can be tucked underneath for a round 4-person table. An exquisite Danish modern design that would make a great addition to any modern interior and will simultaneously provide comfort and a touch of luxury to your dining room.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
