One of our most striking executive desks designed by Henning Jensen & Torbin Valeur in collaboration with the workshop of Dyrlund in Denmark during the 1960s. Our elegant Scandinavian desk features a solid teak frame with a stunning warm grain detail throughout and four geometric legs with exposed joinery, creating a unique floating aesthetic. The front side features a three drawer stack on each side with unique sculpted pulls. In contrast, the backside features an open bookcase for additional storage and display option, allowing it to effortlessly float in a room, and showcasing all its striking angles for the perfect home or office working environment. Our desk has been meticulously restored by our expert craftsmen, remaining true to the original design with all aesthetic components intact.

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
