Elegant modern executive desk designed by Erik Brouer  for Brouer Møbelfabrik in Denmark circa 1950s. This striking design features a teak wood frame with three spacious drawers on its fight side and a large filing drawer on its left side. Its best feature is its open bookshelf in the back for additional storage and display options. All drawers have a double inlaid carved handle and can be locked with their original brass skeleton key, keeping all essential papers safe. The clean lines and sleek design create a uniquely modern and lightweight aesthetic. This desk has been professionally refinished by our expert craftsmen and would be an excellent addition to any home or office, giving you the perfect workspace while exuding elegance

The Restoration Record

Everything we touched, and everything we left alone

Sixty-four hours of bench time by two craftsmen in our Hyperion Avenue workshop. Period-correct methods and materials throughout.

Frame fully disassembled, joints cleaned of old glue and re-set with hide glue. One rear stretcher replaced with salvaged period teak, grain-matched.
Stripped by hand, sanded through 120/180/240/320 grit, then three coats of Danish oil cut back between coats. No lacquer, no filler, no stain.
New jute webbing over the original beech rails; horsehair and natural latex pad; Kvadrat wool bouclé in undyed oat.
Maker's stamp, original brass fittings and the patina on the arm caps, the marks that prove the piece lived.
