Vintage MR lounge chair designed by the world-famous architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and manufactured by Knoll Inc. circa 1970s. One of the best-known exponents of International Style modernism. His "less-is-more" philosophy has become a catchphrase for much twentieth-century design. It can easily be seen in this example he initially designed in 1927 as part of his contribution to the Weissenhof exhibit in Stuttgart, Germany. The chair’s cantilevered design uses tubular steel to create an intuitively comfortable and ergonomic seating experience. Features its original luxurious black leather and a sturdy steel frame in excellent condition, which was recently polished for a cleaner aesthetic and ready to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
