"Yin-Yang" Table by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen and Torben Lind for France & Søn
"Yin-Yang" Table by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen and Torben Lind for France & Søn
Iconic “Yin-Yang” table designed by Ole Gjerløv-Knudsen and Torben Lind for France & Søn in Denmark in 1963. This extraordinary design takes its name from the pivoting leaves that can be unlocked to remove one, creating the round contour of the Yin-Yang sign. The model FF550 table has been quality crafted in teak wood with a black laminate top and wenge wood pedestal base creating a uniquely functional and elegant appearance. The table top features three comma-shaped leaves that interlock to make an oval table with a black triangle at the center when all pieces are inserted. When one leaf is removed, the table then becomes circular and the spare leaf can be hung as wall art using its sturdy brass hook. The organic simplicity and versatility of this table ensure comfort with Danish Modern style. The table sports the manufacturers seal underneath.
