At age 21, Jessy Tzarax is already a veteran vintage furniture dealer, having worked as a teen with his uncle at an antiques mall in the city of Orange. Happily, the knowledgeable entrepreneur recently moved to Los Angeles and opened  Danish Modern L.A. in Silver Lake, where, he says, "most of my Craigslist buyers seemed to live."

"Don't let the store's name fool you: Stock at Danish Modern L.A. includes antiques, Scandinavian designs, Hollywood Regency pieces and midcentury furniture by such American manufacturers as Widdicomb, Heywood-Wakefield and Glenn of California. Prices for the well-restored items are extremely reasonable. The reupholstered Danish sofa Tzarax is sitting on costs $895, and the tubular chrome and glass coffee table to his left is $250. The pair of white lacquered upholstered Chinoiserie ottomans that Tzarax made from side tables, to his right, are  $450. See more after the jump.
